All our survey work and reporting is done in-house by highly trained & experienced arboriculturists. Protected Trees & Legal Issues

We offer expert advice relating to trees in Conservation Areas and/or trees protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs). We can help with applications and appeals. Good professional advice is the key to successful negotiations with the local planning authority. Whether you’re applying for work or objecting to a new TPO, we can recommend the most suitable way to achieve your goals. We also assist with boundary conflicts and high hedge disputes.

Tree Condition Surveys, Inspections & Risk Assessment

We can assess the condition of your tree(s) and provide expert recommendations for management works. We also provide tree risk assessments to ensure owners are managing risk to acceptable levels as defined by law. We have the necessary skills and experience to help you manage trees in a reasonable and proportionate way.

Tree Related Subsidence & Damage to Structures

We have a proven track record in delivering professional assessments, and we provide expert support relating to trees, buildings and structures. We can survey and map trees according to their zone of influence; undertake soil assessments; interpret building movement information. We work closely with engineers, insurers and legal teams to ensure cost effective and professional management of trees/vegetation in relation to buildings and structures.

Expert Witness

Jon Kiely is our Principal Consultant. He has over 20 years experience and has been working as an independent tree consultant since leaving his previous position (founder and company director of Aspect Tree Consultancy Ltd). Jon is an Institute of Chartered Foresters registered consultant, Chartered Arboriculturist, Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow member of the Arboricultural Association. Jon is expert witness trained with considerable skills and experience, offering reliable professional reports and robust opinion(s).
